The Wavemender's Mantle — Mail

Click to zoom (and you'll get rid of that blur!)
I really love these shoulders, and when I say really, I mean really.
I'm not fond of the robes that go with them, though - hence the leggings - and by now I've been staring at this picture for so long it looks good no matter what.

Makes me wonder if I should level my draenei or dwarf shaman - both races look good in it to me, I just can't decide which one looks better!

- Shoulders: The Wavemender's Mantle — Essence of Anger, Black Temple
- Chest: Shroud of Rime — Scourgelord Tyrannus, Pit of Saron
- Hands: Mitts of Burning Hail — Marwyn, Halls of Reflection
- Waist: Belt of the Ardent Marksman — bought in Dalaran with JP
- Legs: Black Dragonskin Breeches — Ick, Pit of Saron
- Feet: Dark Iron Chain Boots (worn by draenei) — Forgemaster Throngus, Grim Batol
or Soul Screaming Boots (worn by dwarf) — Devourer of Souls, Forge of Souls

- Weapon: Dragonshrine Scepter — Echo of Tyrande, End Time
- Off-hand: Divine Companion — inscription craftable

As for a cloak, I suggest something like the Shroud of the North Wind (which has a lot of 'same model as') or the Platinum Mesh Cloak.

While I realize shaman usually go with a shield, I went ahead with an off-hand anyway - since I'd most likely have paired it up with the Mazthoril Honor Shield I love so much.

  1. Looks awesome! I've been noticing a lot of really sweet mail pieces lately, I don't think it's a coincidence that I've just started leveling a hunter again. >_>

  2. My opinion is in this case the dwarf looks better.

Another great set of shoulders are the ones that drop from Heroic Quagmirran. My Paladin has gotten them four times trying to get his sword to drop. >_<

  3. I have a whole wishlist of outfits to get for my hunter that I simply don't know where to start!

JD - I've gotten so used to draenei and elf armor I'm unsure if I'll be content with the way certain items look on a dwarf. For now both of them are sitting at level 5, waiting for me to make up my mind.
If you're talking about the wolf shoulders that look like those of Ten Storms - that design is very nice indeed (but one I prefer seeing on a draenei - you see what my problem is here). Good luck with the farm!

  4. I have both a hunter (Female Night Elf) and a shaman (Female Draenei) at level 85, so I'm always looking for transmog ideas for them. I really like these outfits, though I'm also partial to shields! I also think the Dwarf looks better in this set up, but I'm not a fan of Draenei legs, so I always put them in kilts or robes.

    1. I'd go with a shield in the actual game, but I found that off-hand and really liked it with this set. You know, I've heard that before about the female draenei's legs! I feel the same way but regarding robes (something to do with their big spacegoat butts and tails sticking out).

  5. I love this set! I think the dwarf looks better simply because the shoulders are large and imposing compared to the draenei lady. Of course, a draenei male with these shoulders would probably be terrifying if they scaled up as much as they did on the dwarf...
